Faster Windows 7 - The Beginners Guide to Make Windows 7 Run Extremely Fast

Slow computers are incredibly annoying and frustrating, especially if you're using Windows 7 which is *meant* to be extremely reliable and fast. Fortunately, there are certain problems which all make all Windows computers run slow, and in order to speed up your system, you'll find a lot of computer technicians will just look through these problems and fix the various ones that are causing issues. Here's what you need to do:

1) Close Any Program That You Are Not Using - Many people make the major mistake of having 5-10 programs running at once. Although Windows is good for multi-tasking, the fact is that you can only be using 1 or 2 programs at any one time. If your system is running slow, it's like because it's got to split its focus on the various programs that you have open. To fix this, you need to close down all the programs that you are not using to make sure that Windows can devote its entire resources to that one program. You should also think about uninstalling any program that you don't use any more.

2) Remove Junk / Unwanted Files From Your System - Having many different files on your PC not only makes your computer slower but can also dramatically reduce the life-span of your hard drive or other components. In order to make your computer run faster, you first need to scan through your hard drive and remove any of the files that you don't need or want. You can also use a professional junk file remover tool for this job, which we will talk about in a second.

3) Perform Antivirus, Adware & Spyware Scans - Having infections on your PC slows it down dramatically, and in order to make it run faster, It's important that you're able to clean out these infections by using the various programs or tools out there that are designed for this job. You should download antivirus, antispyware and anti-adware programs onto your PC and let them scan your system. They will show you all the infections your computer has and allow you to remove them all from your PC.

4) Clean Out The Registry With A Registry Cleaner - The 'registry' has been a central part of all Windows systems and is still a major player in Windows 7. It's basically a database which saves all the settings and files that your computer needs to run, including the likes of your latest emails, desktop wallpaper and even your saved passwords. This often makes Windows run slow as your PC needs to read 100's of registry settings each time you use your PC... and because so many files are open at once, Windows gets confused and saves many of them incorrectly, leading these files on your PC to become damaged and unreadable. To fix this, you should use a 'registry cleaner' which is a software tool that will scan through the registry and remove any of the damaged files that are causing problems.
