Windows System32 Error - How to Get Rid of It

Windows System32 error is a typical Windows error that tends to scare the living daylights out of PC users. The problem resides in the Windows System32 folder (C:WINDOWSSystem32) that contains essential files to keep the Windows operating system running optimally.

If you poke around that folder, you will find system restore points, Windows shell extensions, device drivers, and other components critical to the performance of your PC. So even though it is a common problem, you should not take it lightly.

The reason this problem occurs is because over time the registry of your PC becomes cluttered and ends up corrupted, which causes the Windows System32 error. The registry becomes corrupted due to continuous installing and uninstalling of applications, adding new files to your hard drive and finally the presence of viruses and spyware that are becoming more prevalent by the day.

So if you have not performed regular maintenance of your computer, then you should not be surprised that you are getting a Windows System32 error. But how do you go about fixing it?

You could try using Disk Cleanup, which can be found at Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools >Disk Cleanup, and see if it fixes the error.

If that does not work, you could try running the program that is giving you the System32 error in 'Compatibility Mode'. Compatibility Mode is an option in Windows that allows you to run programs as if you were using an older Windows operating system. To find out how to use Compatibility Mode, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Program Compatibility Wizard, or you can right-click on a file, go to the Compatibility Tab and choose which operating system you want to run your file under.

Another thing you can try is to manually replace all the system32 files or edit the one that is giving you trouble. But this should only be done by very advanced PC users. For most people this is a risky option because you can end up harming the computer more than you expected.

But to my mind the best and easiest option available is to use a registry cleaning program. Remember that system32 errors usually have to do with the registry becoming corrupt, so a registry cleaner will diagnose what the problem is and give you solutions to your problem.

Of course, you can try to fix your Windows System32 problem yourself by manually going through the Registry and editing it, but this will take you ages, and it is another risky proposition for those who are not advanced users.

Thus, for most PC users the most sensible option is to let a registry cleaning program do the work for you.
