Search Engine Optimization of Your Pages Using Meta Tags and Keyword Phrases

One thing that comes in handy when it gets to search engine optimization is proper use of Meta description tag. This is mainly because engine spiders use your site Meta description field when listing search results. Other than just composing a good site description, ensure that your keyword phrase is also mentioned preferably three times.

The internet is filled with people who speak different languages; therefore it is imperative to know how to optimize a site that is not drafted in English. For sites that are not written in the English language, you should include a Meta tag for languages. This improves your search engine optimization since engine spiders will understand the language that the website is written in.

Other than optimizing your major keyword phrases, you should also choose secondary keywords to work on. Remember not to use your secondary keyword too much otherwise you will end up overshadowing your primary keyword thus affect your search engine optimization marketing strategy. The recommended percentage for secondary keywords should be between 1 and 2 of the body content.

On this point I may appear to some as not being informed but it may be an eye opener to others. To avoid boring your readers by repeating a certain keyword phrase severally, use something called stemming. By this I mean some words are derived from other words. For example, making is stemmed from make. The same applies to words on plural form (page and pages). Some search engines will still optimize your keywords since they recognize that some words are derived from other words.
