How to Make Money With a High School Diploma

If you've been thinking that your lack of a college degree is holding you back from making serious money, you should think again. Perhaps a decade ago you could have made the case that in order to be successful you needed to go to college. But this just isn't true anymore. If you need proof just look around at all of the underemployed and even unemployed college graduates. Going on to university is no guarantee of financial success once you finish. Thanks to the Internet you now have just as much opportunity with your high school diploma as someone with a college degree, and maybe even an edge on them.

Become an affiliate. Perhaps the best way to start making money is by aligning yourself with a larger company as an affiliate. They don't care if you've gone to college or not, just as long as you can sell their product. You can be up and running as an affiliate in just a few hours and you can start to see sales right away if you commit yourself to it. Just because you only have your high school diploma doesn't mean you should stop learning. If you focus on learning all you can about affiliate marketing, and apply what you learn, you can be well on your way to making livable income with just a high school education.

Become a writer. Right now there is a strong demand for written content for the web so get your fingers typing. If you think you need a college education to write, you're not right. You can write articles for bloggers and use the same voice and style that you do to write emails, just polish it up and add proper punctuation. Many website owners don't want to be bothered with the tedious task of writing their content and happily pay to have someone else do it. If you are a native speaker of English you can write simple articles that won't need to be re-edited and if you get good at writing, you can complete articles faster and faster, thus increasing your dollar per hour rate.

Start your own website. There's no education requirement for becoming an online entrepreneur. If you have a great idea for a website, roll up your sleeves and get it done. Fill it with lots of useful content and over time it will grow in popularity and you can be the next success story.

The big lesson to learn here is not to use your lack of higher education as an excuse for why you're not making money. You might have to work a little harder at the beginning but you have just as much of a chance to make money as the person with a college degree. If anything, you'll be starting out with a lot less debt than that person, and you'll be able to be debt free long before they will.
