If you find your near internet a lot, especially at home when your making your calls, you should highly consider using VOIP. VOIP stands for voice over internet protocol. The company that seems most famous is Skype. Skype can be used to call other user of Skype anywhere in the world for free. You can also call landlines and even cell phones for very low rates. I call Mexico from Canada for about 2 cents a minute. The calls are usually good but depend on your internet connection. Another great feature of Skype is video. Again, depending on the speed of the internet, the video can be great or very bad. Either way though, for free, you can talk to other's over skype and see them at the same time.
As an additional benefit, with the emergence of smart phones, you can even have some of these services right on your cell phone. As an example, I have Skype on my Iphone so when ever I am in a Wi-Fi zone, I can make calls for free or just 2 cents a minute when I call Mexico. Super cheap and super easy to use.
Skype is just one of many coming out now. There are literally dozens out there that offer different services, top quality, and charge next to nothing. This is a great tool to start saving money and stay in touch with loved ones or business partners across the globe.
Check out www.freecallsto.com. This is a blog that will showcase different VOIP and calling card products everyday so you don't have to do all the research yourself. They simply explain the different companies and what they offer and then if you like it, you can follow that link to the company site.
